We, the Robot Makers and builders owe it to our nation to make these sports exciting & pass it to our next generation.
The game rewards teamwork and driving skill more than exotic materials and expensively built robots. The rules are a very simplified version of any human sport rules with additions for the nature of the robots as players.
The addition of active devices on robots to shoot, kick, or flip is encouraged. These devices make for a faster more exciting game and allow teams to avoid traffic jams and pushing matches. Passing and long-range shooting increase a teams ability to score and to benefit from set plays and maneuvers to defeat an opposing team.
The player shall always control the robot from outside of the play area of the sport. Wireless robots are encouraged. If wired, the wire should be extended down to outside the arenas.
It is expected that all participants, Contestants and Mentors alike, will respect the RoboVR mission to initiate & grow Olympics of Robots in the World.
The referees and officials will also act within the spirit of the event.
It is not whether you win or lose, but how much you learn that counts.
The basic rules of Sports are applicable to win in each Robot Sports
A team of maximum 10 members is allowed in each sport. The members could be of the same or different institutes Any number of teams can participate from a single institute
One robot can be made to play multiple sports, only if it qualifies the built specifications of those sports and also have the accessories for the respective sports
The human must not interfere in any way with the robots while the play is on, except through their remote controls or stated otherwise
Any Robot Specifications not mentioned are open to the imagination of the team. The complexity of the robot (easy or complicated) does not matter, as far as it plays the sport
Fixing robots during the play will incur its own cons
Size of the robot can change/ expand/ contract after the play starts
All the Robots must be Self-powered
Any Sportsbot must not hamper the arena is any way. If done, shall be disqualified
Over & above all, the judges decisions shall be final
